6th Grade
The year is going by so fast. I have enjoyed bonding with the class. It has been a very active second half of the year already with Hanukkah, Tu B’Shevat, Purim, and soon to be Passover.
We have discussed so many things ranging from why we pray to qualities of a good leader. We have gone on a field trip to the Anne Frank exhibit at the MOSH and made mezuzahs together. I look forward to learning and growing with the class every week. |
Shalom! My name is Laurie Simmons, and I will be teaching the 6th grade for the remainder of this school year. I am very excited to be a part of the Beth El community. I have been tutoring Bar and Bat Mitzvah students for several years here. I look forward to getting to know more of the students and families.
I have been a Jewish educator in Jacksonville since 2002. I have also been a youth group adviser, taught adult Hebrew classes, and I am a cantorial soloist. My husband, two sons, and I live in Julington Creek.
