1st and 2nd Grade
Hello 1st and 2nd grade families!
I will be your child’s Religious school teacher at Beth El this year and am super excited for the adventure to come!
Let me tell you about myself and how I like to do things. First and foremost I want you to know that my motto for the class is to have fun while learning. This is achieved through well thought out age appropriate activities and lessons. I plan to build and then expand on their Hebrew & Judaic knowledge so attendance is imperative to keep things flowing. All of these things add up to a great year!
For those who know me, you know that I have taught at Beth El since 2007 and am happy to see how all of your kids have grown. I am looking forward to getting to know each and every one of them and hope to know you all again too.
This year we will be learning some prayers, reading some Hebrew and diving into all sorts of different Jewish tradition, Our Jewish heroes and Life Cycle learning.
I cannot wait! I will be sending home a binder for the kids to bring back and forth to class (please help them remember as it is my best communication tool) and we will be assigning homework through the year and requiring your help in insisting they complete it. This will be age appropriate and timely. I promise!
I thank you for sharing your child with me every Sunday. Please feel free to contact me anytime about anything and look for periodic communication from me. I will always try to keep you updated and aware of what is going on so you can be better prepared.
See you Sunday!
Ali Lindenfeld
School starts at 9am in the main sanctuary and pick up is at the main building at 12pm sharp. Thank you for helping us make the school the best it can be!
